Anesthesia Business Consultants (ABC), a leading provider in billing and practice management for the anesthesia and pain management specialty, is pleased to announce Anesthesia Valet™, an exciting, new platform to support the quality reporting programs designed to enable the anesthesia specialty and as mandated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Anesthesia Valet is an easy, streamlined solution developed exclusively for the anesthesia specialty to document, analyze and submit quality data to the Anesthesia Quality Institute’s (AQI) Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) database. ABC has been a preferred vendor of the AQI since 2010; the AQI was founded by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) in 2008. The AQI established the National Anesthesia Clinical Outcomes Registry (NACOR) for the collection and reporting of anesthesia quality metrics.

Starting in 2015, Eligible Professionals need to report quality data to a designated QCDR or potentially face reimbursement penalties from CMS. “NACOR not only meets CMS’ reporting requirements as a designated QCDR, but provides the anesthesia specialty a valuable resource to benchmark our outcomes against each other and really improve the quality of care we provide our patients,” said Dr. Dutton of the AQI. Anesthesia Valet was designed specifically to meet NACOR’s QCDR specifications.

Anesthesia providers utilizing Anesthesia Valet will answer a quick quality questionnaire at the end of every case. That information, combined with standard documentation found on the anesthesia record, will be made available for analysis in F1RSTAnalytics, ABC’s powerful suite of dashboards and reports. ePREOP’s Anesthesia Valet, working with F1RSTAnalytics, offers real-time data prowess providing the data to aid in operating your anesthesia practice as an effective clinical organization and successful business. F1RSTAnalytics is a tool both for individual practitioners to track their compliance and for practice quality officers to monitor how the group is doing as a whole.

“ePREOP is proud to bring our systems in alignment with the ABC quality strategies,” comments David Bergman, CEO of ePREOP. “ePREOP has been a longtime partner with ABC and our systems have been deployed across the country in tandem with ABC products to support various perioperative and quality initiates. Anesthesia Valet, working with F1RSTAnalytics, is the next step in seamless QCDR reporting and real-time measurement of anesthesia practice quality.”

Quality data will regularly be sent to the AQI, fulfilling CMS’ reporting requirements and providing your valuable data to the anesthesia community as a whole. This reporting process helps to protect against value-based purchasing adjustments and the Measure-Applicability Validation (MAV) Process which are deployed in 2016.

ABC’s unique expertise in the marketplace allowed ABC to craft a complete QCDR solution of the best tools and practices for our clients. From easy capture of quality data, to robust analytics, to seamless reporting to NACOR, ABC has made it easy for providers to not only protect their bottom line, but actively participate in improving the quality of patient care. Anesthesia Valet revolutionizes quality reporting for the anesthesia specialty.
