ABC is pleased to announce that for the second year in a row it has been approved to be a Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) for the 2017 reporting year via its company-developed MiraMed QCDR.

The implementation of the Quality Payment Program (QPP) through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to conform with the Medicare Access and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) legislation has created considerable confusion in the healthcare marketplace. The complexities of the QPP and the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) have generated countless articles and partial solutions to answer the simple question, “What do I have to do for MACRA?”

ABC has been a champion of its clients’ needs in practice management and compliance since its founding. CMS’s approval of the QCDR is another representation of that commitment. ABC devotes the time, resources and technology to allow its clients to remain at the forefront of adapting to changing legislation, rather than reacting to it when it is too late.

The 2017 MiraMed QCDR will be utilized for the Quality category of MIPS, as well as support for Improvement Activities (IA) and Advancing Care Information (ACI) category reporting. This enables ABC to support its clients in a more all-encompassing way than previous years and aligns to our MACRA MadeEasy platform.

The expansion of the MiraMed QCDR to support clients who are adopting MACRA allows for practices to remain focused on patient care. Clinical providers can rest assured knowing that the complexity of MACRA is addressed by ABC. The ever-expanding requirements on providers create a challenging environment in which to balance quality, cost and clinical care. With the creation of MACRA MadeEasy, ABC has positioned itself to accommodate all practice profiles, which include support for traditional anesthesia, chronic pain and endoscopy practices, as well as other specialists around the perioperative area such as surgeons.

The deployment of our registry as part of the MACRA MadeEasy solution provides the advantage of a QCDR created specifically with anesthesia in mind, allowing both MIPS and non-MIPS measures and a solution for every provider, regardless of their practice and facility situation. The question of what providers need to do for MACRA is answered by ABC in a clear voice… partner with ABC and you comply with MACRA.
