ABC Introduces Stephanie Griffin, Chief Compliance Officer

June 6, 2017

Anesthesia Business Consultants (ABC) is pleased to announce the addition of Stephanie A. Griffin, RN, JD, CHC as Chief Compliance Officer of ABC parent company, MiraMed Global Services. Ms. Griffin will oversee the corporate compliance program, which functions as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization.

This role centralizes existing functions responsible for identifying and managing risk and compliance across the MiraMed Family of Companies. As the Chief Compliance Officer, Ms. Griffin will work closely with senior executives and the Board to identify, propose and implement enhancements to the management and monitor risk, compliance and privacy protections. Ms. Griffin will also work closely with other company stakeholders and external parties, as appropriate, to manage and resolve risk, compliance and privacy protection-related issues.

Compliance is something we take very seriously at ABC. As such, we are very conscious of the vigilance needed to stay abreast of all of the changes happening due to political and environmental effects. The addition of Ms. Griffin in the position of Chief Compliance Officer will allow ABC to have a direct conduit to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution.

Ms. Griffin, an attorney and registered nurse (RN) with over 14 years of legal and compliance experience, is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)® by the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA)®. Her deep knowledge of fraud and abuse along with data privacy and security makes her a valuable asset to ABC. Griffin’s previous experience with ConcertoHealth, as both Chief Clinical Operations Officer and Chief Compliance Officer & Privacy Officer, makes her uniquely qualified to lead ABC’s corporate compliance program. Preceding positions with CommuniCare Family of Companies, LaVie Care Centers and Amerigroup demonstrate Griffin’s commitment to the successful exploration of healthcare trends, and adherence to guidelines, laws, and government regulations to minimize corporate risk and enhance safety and opportunity for all concerned.

With her varied experience in compliance, legal affairs and business ethics, Ms. Griffin will be an internal resource to whom concerned parties may communicate. Working with ABC’s compliance staff, she will lead the compliance program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct. Her dedication to operational excellence and business intelligence will greatly benefit ABC.
